Pull out your lederhosen and get ready to polka! The 49th Annual Germantown Spassfest, one of Clinton County’s most fun late summer events will be August 19-21, 2016. For anyone who loves German food, beer and music (and who doesn’t?), this is a not-to-miss weekend.
The fun begins on Friday afternoon and includes a new event: the Bierlauf. This is a one-mile race where participants drink a beer, then run ¼-mile. Entrants can choose from three runner divisions: Experienced Drinker, Relay (a team of four) and Social division where walking is allowed. The evening also includes a bags tournament, kids games and entertainment by Short Circuit DJ.
Saturday’s highlights include a Hugz & Fitz Gymnastics & Cheer show, human Foosball, a custom and antique bike show, talent contest and parade, in addition to rides, games, a polka Mass and evening entertainment by Well Hungarians.
Come early on Sunday to enjoy a Spassfest breakfast before checking out the winners of the noontime raffle. Prizes are big—Grand Prize is a 2008 Jeep Wrangler or $12,000 cash!
And of course, all three days you can enjoy delicious brats and kraut, burgers, fried chicken, funnel cakes and more tasty items. And of course, beer!
