Bent Oak Golf Course. Find well-groomed fairways and pretty views at this 9-hole, par 36 course in Breese, Illinois, that also has a lighted driving range. Check out the Senior and Monday specials.

Carlyle Lake Golf Club. At 3,309 yards and with three sets of tee boxes, the course, located a few miles south of Carlyle, Illinois, offers a good challenge for all skill levels. Opened in 1957, it’s known for its nice greens and now sports a new clubhouse. Play Fridays for just $1 per hole,

Governor’s Run Golf Course. This is a membership club with 36 holes of championship golf that includes a Par 72, 18-hole course with 13 lakes scattered throughout. There’s also a lighted, 18-hole Par 3 course that provides a good challenge, putting and chipping greens, a lighted practice range, full-service Pro Shop, and Sports Bar and Grille.
