4 Fun Reasons To Visit Carlyle, Illinois, This Winter

If you’re looking for something fun to do this winter, head over to Carlyle where there always seems to be something going on. From charity events to chilling with wine, here are four top picks FOR February.A wintry shot across a snowy field with a tree on the left side.

Eagles. With the large lake and a plentiful supply of fish, bald eagles find lots to love in Carlyle. Check out the five viewing towers in the lake area and keep an eye up to the sky. There’s a good chance you’ll see one.

Polar Plunge. Okay, this is not for the meek, but it is for a good cause. The annual jump into the frigid Carlyle Lake, presented by Law Enforcement Torch Run and Geico, takes place February 24, 2018. Money raised by participants (minimum of $100.00 per entrant) goes to Special Olympics.
