Get A Taste Of Summer In Clinton County, Illinois

This is National Travel and Tourism Week, and in honor of that we’ve compiled some of our favorite reasons to book a trip to Clinton County this summer. Come for one, come for them all—we’re always thrilled to have you!

Church Picnics. Fried chicken and homemade pie—need we say more? These events are havens for good eating and family fun. Games, rides, quilt bingo, raffles and more activities add to the festiveness.

Great Parks. You’ll find wonderful town and community parks scattered throughout Clinton County that offer pools, ball diamonds, playgrounds, tennis courts, picnic tables, places to walk and ideal settings for just slowing down and relaxing on a nice summer day.

Dairy King. Summer and ice cream are natural partners and ever since 1951, locals and visitors alike have been heading to this Breese, Illinois destination for cones, sundaes, and the ever-popular super-thick shakes.

Sipping Wine on the Patio. Head to any of our Clinton County wineries and you can enjoy a leisurely afternoon outside, sampling one of the tasty local wines, often with the accompaniment of live music.

Good Golfing. No matter your handicap, you’ll find golfing here in Clinton County delightful with a choice of nine, 18 hole and par 3 courses. Reasonable fees, weekly specials, and a no-stress atmosphere add to the pleasure of a playing.
